On 6 Feb 2012, Wanda Institute organized its opening ceremony, during which Chairman Wang Jianlin gave the first lesson. The opening ceremony was hosted by Chen Ping, Vice President and Director of Wanda Institute. President Ding Benxi and more than 440 Wanda executives at different levels attended the  ceremony, including Vice Presidents Li Yaohan, Yin Hai, Zhang Lin, Ning Qifeng, Sun Jiquan, Qu Dejun, Qi Jie, Xiao Guangrui, Mo Yueming, Yang Yue, Wang Xinqi and Cheng Erjun.

Chairman Wang Jianlin expressed his high expectations for the institute and gave the “First Lesson” revolving around on Wanda’s corporate culture. Vice President Chen Ping  introduced Wanda Institute’s operation concepts, and  Li Xuefeng, Deputy General Manager of the joint-stock company’s Finance Department, spoke on behalf of the lecturers.

The first phase of the Wanda Institute has a total GFA of around 80,000 m2, and it is equipped with first-class teaching and service facilities, including classroom buildings, an administrative building, a gym, an exhibition hall, lodging facilities, restaurants, an information center and other facilities, all of which are designed for the systematic training of the senior and mid-level management staffs of the Wanda Group. Wanda Institute’s total planned GFA is 128,000 m2. When completed, it will be able to accommodate 3,000 students, becoming one of China’s best corporate training schools.
